The following statement explains Althos Clinic’s policy regarding the personal data you may disclose to us e.g. when booking an appointment.

Our aim is to respect your privacy and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).We will always treat you and your data with the respect you deserve.

What Personal Data We Collect and What We Do With It

When you book an appointment with the clinic we will use your details to:

Contact you with regard to any matter arising from your booking or attendance at our clinic

From time to time an employer may request details of attendance by their staff. We will disclose this information only where the employer has paid for the treatment or has allowed staff time off work for this purpose. In all other situations we will seek your written consent.

We do not disclose your booking data to any other parties without your written consent.

Where you require us to make Reasonable Adjustments to enable you to attend the clinic, we may require further information from you. If this includes information about your physical or mental health, such information (being sensitive personal data (Special Categories Data)), will only be used by us, with your explicit consent, to assess your eligibility for Reasonable Adjustments. We will not share or disclose it to others. The legal basis upon which we do this is set out in Article 9(2)(a) of GDPR (explicit consent). You can withdraw your consent as anytime by contacting us. Please note that we may not be able to process your request for Reasonable Adjustments if you do this.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Data

By law we have to keep basic information about clinic attendees and their contact details for a minimum of 6 years for tax purposes.

Where you are a regular patient we will keep your personal data for longer, up to 8 years, where we feel it will speed up the course booking process and to save you having to give us the information again.

Subject to any legal requirement, we will delete your information where you tell us that you will no longer be attending our clinic in the future or six years after you last attended.

Third Parties

Althos Clinic will not sell, assign, disclose or rent your personal data to any other external organisation or individual.

Protecting Your Personal Data

We are committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate technical, physical and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you.

Your Rights
